Message from the Head Coach: Football Camp is a critical first step to developing our team. We are going to practice two to three times a day in a place where we can concentrate on forming our identity as a team and growing as players. We will fellowship together, work hard, begin installing our offense and defense, and prepare for the season. Most of all, we will have fun.
Camp is the time where we set the tone for the season. Our players will work on speed, agility, fitness, blocking, tackling, and individual positions skills. Camp serves as a great boost for the readiness of the Centurions to enter the football season prepared to play.
Our season includes 10-12 scrimmages and games, playoffs, and attendance at the NHFA (National Homeschool Football Association) Tournament. We are in a great conference, the Eastern Christian Conference, where we will be competitive against every team we play. We must get ready quickly, and execute each play and situation confidently and boldly which is why it is very important that players attend camp.
Most of all, camp allows our team to prepare spiritually for the challenge of a football season. We can gain everything on earth, but if we have forfeited our salvation for the easy path of gain, then all is lost. We are not ashamed of Christ, nor are we afraid of the difficult path.
